Case study: Ranga

Ranganathan is one of many children born with a profound cleft lip and palate. In a 14-hour operation in Switzerland filmed by Swiss state television, Professor Sailer closed up Ranga's cleft lip and palate. The operation usually requires five separate stages, but thanks to Professor Sailer's outstanding experience and ability he was able to carry it out in just the one stage. The operation and the healing process went very well.

Success for Ranga

At 13, Ranga finally managed to get what he wanted: To look just like everyone else. He quickly learnt how to eat and speak properly and he also soon caught up at school. In the meantime he has also found a job as a bellhop. None of this would have been possible without Professor Sailer's operation. Now Ranga has a future he can look forward to, and greets guests in the hotel with a broad smile.

This is the magical power of a smile which you too can create when you pledge us your support and bring a smile to a child with a donation for an operation- giving him/her a happier future.
